Summer 2010

Twenty weeks have passed since we pulled in the driveway of our stick and mortar home. This gave us a better taste of life in the slow lane. Pina coladas and strawberry daiquris in the gazebo  on warm summer days isn't too bad. It also afforded ample time to tackle new quilting projects, flower gardening, and long local motorcycle rides and walks.  The main event however, was completion of a long list of projects which had been put off over a 34 year period of working for the man.

Things learned:
       Time moves on.
Working several days a week just to support our government isn't missed.
The guilty feeling of everyday being Saturday easily trumps the old work routine.
Being a juvenile retiree feels pretty good.

The wanderlust is intensifying so it's time to return to the road.
